However, keeping a history of pasted commands could be nice: a drop-down picklist, for instance. Command history answers this need, but only in shells that have it. Just a thought. And pasting with Shift-Ins would be handy (or Ctrl-whatever for those who aren't old enough to remember CUA/SAA). Right button versus middle button doesn't matter: what's important is being able to issue the command the same way as in any other application. > Compared to KDE's Konsole, both are frankly, well "crap". Right now, I have nine open console sessions involving two different shells, each serving a different purpose: committing branch X to cvs committing branch Y to cvs updating all branches from cvs building branch X building branch Y grepping library Z's source and so on. Even so, I do a lot of pushd and popd. I really want more sessions, but I don't want the 'taskbar' to get unreasonably big. And if the configuration of all mdi children could be saved and restored, then I'd save a lot of time setting this all up every time I have to reboot msw. I've looked here: http://konsole.kde.org/ http://konsole.kde.org/screenshots.php but don't see anything else nearly as exciting as mdi, at least not as far as my personal needs go. |
