Exactly what do you want to accomplish?

Do you want to write a "device driver"? If so, search
this mailing list's archives for both those words.

Do you want to create a '.sys' file for 16-bit or for
32-bit ms windows? If it's 16-bit, mingw won't do it.

Are you trying to write this yourself, or are you
using source code somebody has already written that
works with some other compiler? If it's a project you
can name here, maybe someone already knows about it.
