My first question is whether you can use the Visual C++ compiler cl with = mingw? Secondly, I have a test mechanism where many single program tests reside = in one directory to test the functionality of some of my library = objects. With a makefile, I can provide the rules to generate the = programs, but with the Visual Studio IDE, I don't know how to generate a = 1-1 source code to executable, which ends up I need to generate project = files for each test file. e.g. object_function_test1.cpp object_function_test2.cpp object_function_test3.cpp object_function_test4.cpp And my makefile can generate the programs ./platform/compiler/compiler_version/abi/object_function_test1 ./platform/compiler/compiler_version/abi/object_function_test2 ./platform/compiler/compiler_version/abi/object_function_test3 ./platform/compiler/compiler_version/abi/object_function_test4 for gcc and intel(on linux) compilers. I would like to adapt the makefile system if possible to translate the = makefile commands to the appropriate compiler commands, flags, for the = cl program. Any suggestions to help get me started (or to shoo me away = from trying this)? Has anyone wrote a simple makefile which uses cl? Many thanks, John |
