Thanks Earnie. I am still experiencing some problems - I put "boost_1_31_0" into the "I:\MinGW\Msys\1.0\home\user" directory (I hope this was not too naive. I don't how to make Msys reach other directories on my disk) I made the directory "bld", entered there and executed "../libs/config/configure --prefix=/mingw" command, which took 1-2 minutes to complete. But the next command ("make") failed: "make: *** No targets specified and no makefile found. " Contents of the "I:\MinGW\Msys\1.0\home\user\boost_1_31_0\bld": config.log config.status user.hpp What should I do to get boost builded? Can anyone help me? Sorry for my ignorance in this matter. I've never used Unix development environment - I use MinGW with Dev-C++ IDE, which shields me from the internal details. _______________ Adam Ryczkowski ----- Original Message ----- From: "Earnie Boyd" <ea...@us...> > Have you tried > > Installing MSYS > cd boost_1_31_0 > mkdir bld > cd bld > ../libs/config/configure --prefix=/mingw > make > > > Earnie. > > Adam Ryczkowski wrote: > > >Hello, > > > >Building boost on MinGW is not as easy as it seemed... > > > >I realize that this problem has been reported already to the boost, but I > >can't find any fix. > >(ref. http://lists.boost.org/MailArchives/boost/msg60443.php) > >Does any fix exist? > > > >PS I try to build boost_1_31_0.
