Hi, I don't know if this is a known bug (couldn't find any documentation on it), but it looks like when you have more than 1 resource file and link it to the executable things don't work. Example: Test.exe uses test_1.rc test_2.rc - when I use windres to convert it to the proper format and I link it with mingw, the program just terminates when executed. However if test_1.rc is the resource of the "main" window and I link only that resource I can get the program to run. However when it tries to create the second window (the contents of test_2.rc) it doesn't work. Nothing happens. if I only have 1 resource file everything works fine and there are no problems. So my conclusion is that mingw doesn't link things properly when more than 1 resource file is used. Typically with my programming I make each window a separate class and therefore it has its own .rc file. Does anyone know more about this or could point me to any workarounds? Thanks in advance! mike |
