Well gcc -S spits out .comm ___tls_index, 16 # 4 for the variable in question. I dont know exactly what that means However, it could easily be a problem with IDA mis-identifying the item in the .o file as external instead of uninitalized. Anyhow, given that the definition is correct acording to the C standards and the GCC docs, I will continue with it as is unless/untill I discover that its not working. |
