Steve, I haven't looked at native USB host drivers yet, but I have got a patch which will allow you to use the HID (human interface device) drivers that already exist under Windows/Linux. I was hoping that this might be something that could be integrated into the next release of the w32api / MinGW itself. I don't seem to be getting any response on that at the moment unfortunately. I submitted the patch against w32api into the SourceForge patch management system. Another alternative would be a vitual comms. driver, which I intend to look at.
