Okay thank, that seems to work, but yikes! 

I know ':' is used as PATH separator under Unix, but is the
use of drive-letters so much to ask for in program that's 
supposed to be a port to Windows? That "/g/" syntax is horrid 
(only beaten by the "/cygdrive" syntax).
