Please search the archives before posting. ^^^^^^^^ The link has been dead several times when I have tried it although it is up currently. >> I think the wording on the lists page for >> each list should be changed to something different that >> indicates that the *search* of the archives is via the >> box on the left hand side and that they can be *browsed* >> thru the current link. >> >> The problem is that the browse of the archives doesnt have a >> search box on that page , so as I assumed the first time, >> I searched by going back thru each item (title at least). > > On the browse page I mentioned above, there is a search box at the left. > However, I have also found gmane to be more useful for most searches. The wording problem is that it implies that by clicking on the link (as indicated above) will take you to the search but it takes you to a listing of each item AND the search box does not exist on that page (only on the page with the link) .... so I think that for first time users the wording should be changed ... when I first used it I believed the words and when I clicked on the link , it took me to the individual item listing and I had not noticed the search box on the lists.shtml page, so I thought that the Mingw-users idea of a search was to look thru each item individually :-) and sadly I did ! This is not an end of the world item , but just to make it more (first time) user friendly . > > Luke I now have the reference to gmane so I know I can search there now (might be worth mentioning that on the lists page ).
