After upgrading to gcc 3.* I noticred my GLUT programs stopped compiling altogether due to linker problems. I found (experimentally) that one solution is to switch back to 2.95 distribution. Another one is to replace new glut32.a, opengl32.a, glu32.a files with those included in older MingW (with gcc 2.95). Another option is to use CygWin (they ship "correct" *.a libraries, but to run exe's created with them I had to install *their* version of glut.dll; util I did so my *.exe didn't see several functions available via glut.dll). It is also quite possible that the new MingW gl*.a files are OK, but now one needs to pass some extra options to the linker? Any suggestions? ZK |
