Hi, I'm still playing around with this I'm afraid :) I manged to build gcc 3.2.1, binutils 2.13.1 & newlib 1.11.0 (sources from ftp.gnu.org) for an ARM target reasonably happily using mingw. I decided to have a play with the sources from mingw. With binutils-2.13.90-20030111-1-src, everything seems to go fine until this point /bin/sh ../../binutils-2.13.90-20030111-1-src/binutils/../ylwrap "bison -y" ../../binutils-2.13.90-20030111-1-src/binutils/arparse.y y.tab.c arparse.c y.tab.h arparse.h -- -d C:\msys\bin\bison.exe: no grammar file given make[3]: *** [arparse.c] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/c/projects/mingw/mingw-binutils/obj/binutils' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/c/projects/mingw/mingw-binutils/obj/binutils' make[1]: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/c/projects/mingw/mingw-binutils/obj/binutils' make: *** [all-binutils] Error 2 I'm using Mingw 2.0.0, MinSys 1.0.8 and MinSys DTK 1.0.1 when I had an earlier problem with bison I was advised to copy bsion.simple & bison.hairy from the share directory to the bin directory. Looking through my current installation I see these files no longer exist. Have I missed something with the install? if it's relevant bison.exe has the same response to everything, including bison --help :( Dave |
