[Mingw-users] Commands for directory creation and moving files

 Are there procedures which:
  - copy a file to another place/name ?
  - create a directory ?

Of course, I can use system("copy source-file dest-file") or ...
dest-directory
but I wonder whether this can be done without usin system(...) which
invokes commabd.com or cmd.com depending on the system 8x/ME or NT/XP.
