That's normal. gdb sources requires modifications to build with MinGW.

Next time, try searching this mailing list archives first. You can do
it from the main www.mingw.org webpage. GDB was discussed several
times here on recent times.

There is one on the MinGW SourceForge download area:

The gdb that is distributed with Cygwin works with MinGW executables
too.
