Your article is great and I'm sure it will be useful to many people. The main thing that should probably be changed is that 'ld' does actually support specifying your own .def file: gcc -shared -o DLL_file OBJ_files DEF_file You simply pass it as a file on the command line, like your example for CL. I also noticed that in the 'ld' and 'dlltool' sections, the lists of options contain erroneous codes.
