I am having problems making a cross compiler that is hosted on MinGW/MSYS and targetted for the sh-elf target (Dreamcast) Binutils configured and compiled fine for this target, however when I attempt to do the same with GCC I have problems. I ran the configure script like this: ../gcc-3.1/configure --prefix=/mingw/cross/sh-elf --target=sh-elf --without-headers --with-newlib --enable-languages=c and it reported nothing out of the ordinary. But when I do a "make all install" I get this after a few minutes: gcc -DIN_GCC -DCROSS_COMPILE -g -O2 -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wtraditional -pedantic -Wno-long-long -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../gcc-3.1/gcc -I../../gcc-3.1/gcc/. -I../../gcc-3.1/gcc/config -I../../gcc-3.1/gcc/../include \ -DPREFIX=\"/mingw/cross/sh-elf\" \ -c ../../gcc-3.1/gcc/prefix.c -o prefix.o In file included from /mingw/include/objbase.h:56, from /mingw/include/ole2.h:9, from /mingw/include/windows.h:108, from ../../gcc-3.1/gcc/prefix.c:70: /mingw/include/objidl.h:309: unnamed fields of type other than struct or union are not allowed ../../gcc-3.1/gcc/prefix.c: In function `lookup_key': ../../gcc-3.1/gcc/prefix.c:161: warning: pointer targets in passing arg 5 of `RegQueryValueExA' differ in signedness ../../gcc-3.1/gcc/prefix.c:165: warning: pointer targets in passing arg 5 of `RegQueryValueExA' differ in signedness make[1]: *** [prefix.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/L.J./build-sh4-gcc/gcc' make: *** [all-gcc] Error 2 And it returns me to the command prompt of MSYS. I am kindof a newbie with MinGW and MSYS but in case it is of any use my system is set up as the following: MinGW runtime: 2.0 MSYS: 1.0.8 GCC version: 3.1 Win32api version: 1.5 Windows 98 Any ideas of what I should do to remedy this? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com |
