Thank you very much for the reply. I would point out that the FAQ on MinGW is somewhat misleading in that it states that an easy way to use MinGW is simply to put the bin dir first in the path. Apparantly this is not enough. In my case I have an application that has been worked to build properly in cygwin. I've had a look at MSys and it is my impression that it would be considerable work to move the application to it. Wouldn't I need to find a pthreads library to substitute for the cygwin library? And the PostgreSQL library I'm using, wouldn't that need to be substituted with some native Windows library? Thanks again. -- Michael |
