I have a note from a mingw user telling me that Allegro 3.3.94 and newer can be built with Mingw alone, without the need for prebuilt DLLs and such. A quick search using Google tells me the same. Allegro work-in-progress page: http://sunsite.dk/allegro/wip.html --> http://sunsite.dk/allegro/allegro-3.9.36.tar.gz Note that I haven't tried building Allegro myself, so can't vouch for the accuracy.
