I'm having trouble installing MinGW. I downloaded the .zip file for Windows 11. It didn't have an installer. I found the installer under the files tab, downloaded it and ran, but it didn't work. I chose build 8.0.1, x86-64, posix, seh, rev 0 as I was told to from the tutorial video I was watching. The installer ran and then almost immediately threw an error: "The program didn't download correctly." Please help me figure this out.

there must be a bin folder. Add the bin folder to the PATH of your System variables under Advanced System Settings in the About section of This PC.
If you know how to add environment variables then you can do it.
