The problem with your questions is that it seems you don't bother to do any of the work yourself. The only reason I can see for trying force LaTeX to expand letterspacing is that you are trying to turn a n-page paper into a n+x page term paper without doing any more writing. Subject: [MiKTeX] interword or interletter spacing Thanks for all answers. However, none of them does the trick. I just want to change the interword or interletter space a little bit so that I can reduce the characters per inch in each line. Does anyone know the way to handel it? Thanks very much. To Thomas Meurer I don't think it is wrong or a mistake to discuss latex problem here. Most of the users in this group are very help to the solve the problems related to latex or miktex. If you don't know the answer or don't want to read the message that does not interest you, you can just skip. No body force you to read.
