RE: [MiKTeX] PLT to PDF

As far as I am aware, .plt is PostScript (It is from the packages I use anyway)

I use the free GSview package (http://www.ghostgum.com.au/ <http://www.ghostgum.com.au/> ) on my WinNT box, along with
GhostScript. 

Other free viewer/GhostScript packages are available for other platforms.

I associate .plt files with GSview (or you could just change the extension to .ps), then open the file.

You can then File->Convert to PDF using the pdfwrite option.

One issue I always come up against is that I often have drawing sizes that are not standard GSView sizes.

You will need to know the physical size of the image to input as a 'custom' size in GSview.

You should be able to get this from the original .plt file producing package.

Put the option to show the bounding box 'on' in GSview, and make sure it correctly bound your image before converting.
