If your dvi file is OK, but your ps file is not, then the problem must
be dvips (you wrote earlier that you used "LaTeX, dvips and ps2pdf").

You should try "PDFLaTeXifying" your document. That way you will go
around both dvi and pdf. I call PDFTeX from WinEdt (v. 5.3) but it
should be possible to locate PDFTeX even if you don't use WinEdt.

I found out that the measures 21.59 cm x 27,94 cm is exactly 8.5" x 11"
(is that Letter size)?

So somehow ps2pdf makes my file letter size even if the original dvi
file is A4? Is that because of dvips or ps2pdf?
