I got this solved. Actually some of the repositories are still storing the old version (2.1) of MikTeX - and contains Yap 0.98 - which doesn't work with GhostScript 8.0. I intially downloaded the stuff from the UK Sunsite - and it was actually MikTeX 2.1. Later I downloaded again from the TeX archive - and it's fine now. =20 Thanx to everybody =20 Arijit -----Original Message----- From: Arijit Mukherjee=20 Sent: 26 January 2003 10:27 To: mik...@li... Subject: Problem with YAP 0.98 =09 =09 HI =20 I am new to the world of LaTeX and my colleagues recommended me to use MikTex along with WinEdt to write my documents. =20 I installed GhostScript 8.0, GhostView 4.3 follwed by MikTex 2.2 (small package) and the WinEdt 5. I have some diagrams in eps format - which I can open in Ghostview. And I have inserted them into my document. When I generate the DVI from my tex file, and view it in the DVI previewer in WinEdt (which uses YAP 0.98), I get a "ghostscript error" when the figures are supposed to be loaded. =20 Can anyone please tell me what the problem is and what is the solution? Do I need to use YAP 0.99? How do I upgrade to that? =20 Regards Arijit |
