If you can somehow get access to a computer running linux (a friend maybe?), there are a lot of free programs that can do this: wv, catdoc, word2x (to name a few). Depending on how much structure was in your original, you may just try to do this by hand. Maybe you can post more details on your project. Basically, you would open the word file and copy and paste the text to a normal text editor. hmmm...what was it called? Wintex? (I used to run MikTeX on Windows, maybe someone can check me) Then you would just add sections, etc. I dont know how complicated your document was...any pictures, diagrams.
