Hi, The default setting for book is double-sided. It assumes you will be printing out double-sided. And it will make each Chapter beginning on the same side (odd pages). If your Chapter 1 ends at, say, page 9, it will create a blank page at page 10 so that Chapter 2 can start at page 11. If your printer does not support double-sided, you can photocopy your book and it will make sense.
