-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello List, This is my first message here. I used LaTeX for quite some time (I think since 2003 or so), usually on a linux machine (texlive package) but also on some Windows machines using MikTeX distro and texlipse. Back then I didn't really care about security. But things change and now I wonder what ways exist to verify integrity of the Installer I downloaded. Are there any signature files, sha1sums or md5sums available? On the download link I didn't find any. Then I looked through the FAQ and grepped "sha1" and "md5" with no matches. Finally I searched the ML archive using the same terms and producing no results. Several explanations come to my mind: 1. my search terms were not the best ones 2. the search engine isn't working properly 3. there was no discussion at all about those issues until now 4. I just don't see the obvious :) Could someone please point me to the missing bits if the latter is the case? If this is the wrong list, please do not hesitate to point me to the right one.
