Dear MikTeXers, (sp. mantainer):=0A=0A=0A=0AA few days ago, a new package c= alled spanish-mx was announced on CTAN. =0AAs our mantainer always provide = us with the best and latest packages, =0Ait has been incorporated into Mi= kTeX repositories. But that package is =0Aonly for (some) people from Mexic= o and last time I checked, spanish is =0Awritten (and spoken) in many other= countries.=0A=0AThe unfortunate effect (not to be charged to CS) is that n= ow every time =0Aa document uses Babel with option "spanish", MikTeX thinks= that the =0Acorrect spanish is the one given by that package, and invites = to install =0Ait (if that option is checked, if the option to "automaticall= y install =0Amissing packages" is used, things are worse). Once installed, = a file =0Acalled "spanish.cfg" (from spanish-mx) is loaded instead of =0A"s= panish.ldf" (from canonical Babel). This is clearly a very unfortunate =0Ac= hoice of the author, and the result is total havoc on your document.=0A=0AI= 've tried to delete the file "spanish.cfg" but MikTeX is aware and =0Aagain= tries to install it. I have only two (temporary) solutions: to =0A"not ins= tall missing packages on the fly" (after uninstalling =0Aspanish-mx) or to = copy "spanish.ldf" to "spanish.cfg" so the this is =0Afound before the "bad= " spanish.cfg.=0A=0A=0A=0ANevertheless, I would recommend to delete spanish= -mx from MikTeX =0Arepositories.=0A=0A=0A=0AThanks, best regards,=0A=0A=0A= =0ALuis Seidel=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A=0A =0A________________________= ______________________ =0A=BFCon Mascota por primera vez?
