Vista is no good with its Sync Centre and XP does a whole lot better in
terms of network disconnections.
I also experienced similar problems to yourself. If you really need to
sync, use Microsoft SyncToy 1.3 (works on Vista x86) or SyncToy 2.0
(works on Vista x64 as well). Otherwise, run LaTeX on a local drive.
