[MiKTeX] Installing problems under Vista

Hi!
I've tried to install miktex using both ways, but each time the installation
process failed at the very beginning. The error messages reported "The file
is not executable" (when using the basic installer) and "bad archive" or smt
like that (for the second inst'n option). Is it because Vista couldn't stand
an open source programme?))
Yet it managed to digest 2.6 version.
