[MiKTeX] remote package repository is not synchronized ???

Hi all,

I have a problem using the package manager automatic download. I keep getting the 
message "The remote package repository is not synchronized", with no further clue of 
what I shall do next.

-I checked the url used:
ftp://ftp.inria.fr/pub/TeX/CTAN/systems/win32/miktex/tm/packages/
and it does work.

-Tried the "Repository->Synchronize" command of Miktex package manage (sounded 
nice...) : no change

-Searched my archived copy of the list: didn't find anything relevant

Any hint of what I can do next ? Below is the log file
