I am using MiKTeX 2.7 and there is no problem writing for example = $[x+(y+z)]$. The square brackets are rendered by YAP. Even in the older = versions of MiKTeX, this is not a problem.=20 ________________________________ From: mik...@li... on behalf of Andreas = Antoniou Sent: Tue 1/15/2008 8:37 AM To: mik...@li... Subject: [MiKTeX] Square Brackets in Formulas Dear MiKTeX Users, I have noticed recently that square brackets in formulas are not rendered by the YAP previewer or by my printer or in a postscript file unless I use \left [ ... \right ]. I was using Version 2.6 on a Windows XP computer. In the hope of remove the problem, I upgraded to Version 2.7 but, unfortunately, the problem persists. I have not noticed any other = glitches. Would someone out there have a solution? Help will be appreciated. Silly thing, but it is slowing things down over here. ------------------------------- Andreas Antoniou Professor Emeritus Dept. of Elec. & Comp. Eng. University of Victoria P. O.
