Interesting, so you are saying the quote appears on the first page of the bibliography in the upper right corner directly under the heading "Bibliography"? I tried it again without the extra line in between with the same result. However, I spotted the differences I have in relation to your LaTeX - here an hopefully more accurate (and more minimalistic) example - thanks Ulrike ;) : ----------------------------------- \documentclass[phd]{guthesis} \usepackage{epigraph} % allows putting quotes at beginning of chapter \begin{document} Some text with a reference \cite{foo2007}. \bibliographystyle{apalike} \epigraph{This is a Quote!}{\textsc{Some Author}} \bibliography{Thesis} \end{document} ------------------------------------ Is it the fact that I use \bibliography{} or do I need to diasect that special class I am using? Best, Karl > I can't reproduce your problem. Running > \documentclass{ > article} > \usepackage{epigraph} > \begin{document} > This is a page of text, with a bibliographic entry \cite{Foo99} > \dots > > \epigraph{This is a Quote!} > {\textsc{Some Author}} > \begin{thebibliography}{10} > \bibitem{Foo99} > This was never published, and will never be. > \end{thebibliography} > \end{document} > > run fine with me (i.e. without page breaks) . > > ccn. > -- > ................................................................. > > Prof.Dr. Cornelius C.
