Hi, I'm making my first atttempt at setting up a map file for expert fonts in dvips. I've added fonts using fontinst before and think I've got that part working ok. There are no complaints when I run latex on my input. What do I need to add to dvips when the virtual font is composed of 2 differnet PFB files. I tried this and it doesn't work. murr9t CentaurMT "TeXBase1Encoding ReEncodeFont" < 8r.enc < murr8x.pfb < murr8a.pfb (Yes that is all on one line) The vpl file for that font (murr9t.vpl) has these two lines (MAPFONT D 0 (FONTNAME murr8x) (FONTDSIZE R 10.0) (FONTAT R 10.0)) (MAPFONT D 1 (FONTNAME murr8r) (FONTDSIZE R 10.0) (FONTAT R 10.0)) Those are the correct font files but I can't get dvips to read them both in and correctly use them. I suspect that simply having the fontname CentaurMT in my map file is wrong. It needs to know how to get at the ligatures in CentaurMT-Expert. Thanks for your help. - Joel |
