I hope this discussion does not drift into the Unix-Windows-Comparison-discussion realm now, because then there will never be an end and always something more to say. In Shakespearian words, this whole thread is much ado about nothing (considering that the space character literally IS nothing), and obviously everyone has his own views on how to treat file and directory names with spaces in it and how to prevent problems related to them. Anyone who wants to talk about using the question mark in filenames? ;-) Sascha |
