Hi together! Sorry for bothering you all, but I was not able to find out, what is going wrong with my fontinstalltion (and sorry for the long text, but I tried to include all neccessary infos which might be usefull to anlyse the problem). I have trouble installing the SABON from Linoytype by usding Walter Schmidts font metrik-files and lsb.map. Particularly I do not know where to place my own created updmap.cfg (G:\MikTex\Local is my localtexmf): To G:\MikTex\local\miktex\config Or to G:\MikTex\local\web2c ?? As you can see "inittexmf --mkmaps -v" writes something to "E:\MikTex\Local\..." but such a drive does not exsits (indeed, E:\ is the CD-ROM drive from where I installed MikTex). So far, I see, that LaTex is not able to find the sabon (lsbj or lsbx) and I get lot of these errors: ------------------------ LaTeX Font Warning: Font shape `T1/lsbj/m/sc' undefined (Font) using `T1/lsbj/m/n' instead on input line 80. ------------------------ What I already did: 1. Copied fonts in my localtexmf-directory: tfm-files in: G:\MikTex\local\fonts\linotype\sabon lsbrij8r.tfm to lsbb8a.tfm (30 files in sum) pfb-files in: G:\MikTex\local\fonts\type1\linotype\sabon lsbrij8a.PFB to lsbb8a.PFB (8 files in sum) afm-files in: G:\MikTex\local\fonts\afm\linotype\sabon lsbrij8a.AFM to lsbb8a.AFM (8 files in sum) vf-files in: G:\MikTex\local\fonts\vf\linotype\sabon lsbri9e.VF to lsbb9c.VF (14 files in sum) fd-files in: G:\MikTex\local\fonts\tex\latex\sabon\tex t1lsbj.fd, t1lsbx.fd, ts1lsbj.fd, ts1lsbx.fd (4 files in sum) 2. Copied lsb.map lsb.map in: G:\MikTex\local\dvipdfm\config G:\MikTex\local\dvips\config G:\MikTex\local\miktex\config G:\MikTex\local\pdftex\config 3. Created my updmap.cfg in updmap.cfg in: G:\MikTex\local\miktex\config contains only: -------- # sabon Map lsb.map #texmf\dvips\config\lsb.map -------- 4. Updateded MikTex file data base: inittexmf --mkmaps -v result: ----------------------- Creating new map files using the following configuration: prefer outlines: true download standard fonts (dvips): false download standard fonts (pdftex): false download standard fonts (dvipdfm): false Scanning for LW35 support files using map file 'C:\Programme\MikTex\dvips\tetex\dvips35.map' ... Finaly inittexmf -u Do you have any idea what's going wrong here? Thanks a lot for any help Best Regards Jasmin |
