I guess that was Phillip's reply to my request for info that you are referring to. Besides his reference to the manual, which did me no good because I didn't know enough to even be able to find the macro related stuff within it (I had already tried looking there...), Phillip did give me some direction/a clue at the end of his mail that I am just getting ready to check out ... and I am appreciative for it. Hopefully it will lead me to my problem. Newbies have a tough way to go ... Once you have enough knowledge, to understand the basics and access the help tools efficiently, you can help yourself. Before that you either need a LOT of time ... as in weeks/months to "learn how to fly" or you need the knowledgeable advice/help of an experienced person. Sometimes experienced people get exasperated with ignorance. I was sorry to ask such stupid questions but I had the problem of not being a MikTex or Latex user but having to set a machine up for a user who knows how to run Miktex/latex but not how to set it up.. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Roddy" <ro...@we...> To: <mik...@li...> Sent: Wednesday, December 17, 2003 4:20 PM Subject: Re: [MiKTeX] Installing/using .sty macros?
