Thanks, I can get started on looking into this.
Could you try producing the exact same logs with Debug Logging (in
Tools > Options) turned on? It will give more detailed information
that might help.

Actually, MM doesn't look for config files in any location. It simply
remembers the list of recently used config files. To use a different
config file, you need to click the "..." to the right of the file name
and select the .cfg file.
