Hi Mario, very late, for the record: sorry I had missed your reply at the time, I do not understand why I did not get a notification. You were probably correct in noticing that my hardware configuration was different from the specs you linked to. I do not have access to this microscope any more. In the end I was not able to solve the issue I posted. Thanks for your help Best regards Thomas -- Sent from: http://micro-manager.3463995.n2.nabble.com/ |

Hi there. Im using Micromanager to acquire data for srrf analysis with Hamamatsu Orca Flash 4 v3 and Camera Link at up to 100 HZ. Single slices and channels work fine and data is great but I would need to do include the channels and z. Is there a way to do this without ttl? You got me there! I guess that Chris wrote this in the early days of 2.0 (had not seen this code before;). The source code has the following comment: // Ordinarily you would paint your images here, but we just // draw some information about the image. // No images in the Datastore yet. // Ensure we're large enough to show our text. So, I guess that the code does exactly what it promises to do;) I updated a few functions and made it sure it no longer uses deprecated code. Let us know (on the forum;) how it goes! Best, Nico |

Dear Nico, Uncheck, and the issue will most likely go away... Thank you for your suggestion but the issue seems to have solved by itself. I'm not sure what has caused this. I have extended the script to 4-Channel. <http://micro-manager.3463995.n2.nabble.com/file/t396861/2020-05-22_16_16_47-Preview-377903925_%2825%25%29.png> Please find the attached script for anyone who would like to use it. DyMont_4Color_v0.bsh <http://micro-manager.3463995.n2.nabble.com/file/t396861/DyMont_4Color_v0.bsh> Like you had also suggested to implement Dataviewer, as initial steps to this, I built the DemoDisplay plugin. When hitting the snap button there is no image displayed within the frame. The message showing the number of frames does get updated. See attached image. <http://micro-manager.3463995.n2.nabble.com/file/t396861/2020-05-22_16_19_34-Demo_Display.png> Any ideas why the frame is not able to paint the image? Will continue this discussion on the image.sc forum :) Thanks in advance. Hi Marinette, I understand your disappointment (I really like simple open interfaces much better than complicated, proprietary platforms), but I am afraid that we have to go along with where everyone else is going. I now receive emails from the forum whenever someone posts using the tag "micro-manager". Not completely sure what I did, but I think that Karl's recipe: Profile->Preferences ->Notifications ->Tags and setting these up with the "micro-manager" tag should be enough to get those emails. Hope this helps! Hi Marinette, Sorry to hear it looks so bad for you. When I go to: https://forum.image.sc/tag/micro-manager on my computer or on my phone, it looks pretty good, and different from what you described. A few other people also had no issues. Can you describe your setup a bit more? Are you going to this same address, using a computer/tablet/phone, which browser, blocking javascript etc.. The folks at Image.sc are very motivated to make this work well for everyone (so I also encourage you to post this over there). Current archives (nabble and sourceforge) will remain available. I will also download the full mbox archive once we switch to read only. I don't think that it will be feasible to make that archive available on image.sc (since the formats are so different), but if anyone has a great idea, I am all ears. Best, Nico |

Hi. I was trying to use MM with this camera. https://www.bresser.de/en/Astronomy/Accessories/BRESSER-MikrOkular-Full-HD-eyepiece-camera.html Success was so so. On Win7 in MM it works only in BW and I cannot see where to change it. On Linux I got another priblem. Micromanager catches laptop webcam. But if I change device property from /dev/videl0 (webcam) to /dev/video1 (ocular) it has no effect. Any recommendations on it? Thanks. Petro. |

Hi Nico, I will do my best to track back the source code. Our group had in the past, before my times, a suscription with Mark Tsuchida so probably is in that direction. Would it also be an option to decompile the the dll? Do you know how this could be done? I tried with dotPeek by doesnt seem to support it. I attach here the dll. Hi everyone, I'm very excited to announce the release of a project that Nico Stuurman and I have been working on, Pycro-Manager. As the name suggests, this package enables Python access to Micro-Manager. The access works through a behind-the-scences high-speed bridge that dynamically "translates" between the Java and c++ parts of Micro-Manager and Python. This allows for Python users to use any of the existing Java/c++ APIs and plugins of micro-manager as if they had been written in pure Python. The translation between languages occurs dynamically at runtime, so any future development on the Java/c++ side will be available through Python as well Pycro-manager also has a flexible, high-level API to enable complex, customized data acquisition without having write all the boilerplate automation yourself. This can be used, for example, to synchronize external hardware with the acquisition process, modify acquired images on-the-fly before saving/visualization, implement your own customized data saving/visualization, and easily adapt acquisition in response to data. If you'd like to learn more, please check out the documentation ( https://pycro-manager.readthedocs.io/en/latest/). For any questions/suggestions/discussions, the best place is the Pycro-manager issues page (https://github.com/micro-manager/pycro-manager/issues). Happy imaging, Henry |

If you can locate that source code and email it to me, I can see if I can add that to the official release. I really hope that people will do that more often. This is a nice example of fixing this thing now, but not for others/future use. Best, Nico |

Once you get your account, in your profile preferences there is a notification area where you can "watch" categories, users or tags. So it should work if you just watch micro-manager tag. Dear JB, I hadnt tried with load sequence and actually you code has been really helpful! I agree its more reliable, it takes around 30 ms less, although I still get this peaks in timing when I do loadSLMsequence. >From the corelog i have identified that the following lines are taking the 500 ms time: 2020-05-14T15:54:36.363345 tid8976 [dbg,dev:Mosaic3] Sending command ClearSequenceMemory... 2020-05-14T15:54:36.865345 tid8976 [dbg,dev:Mosaic3] ... ClearSequenceMemory finished. As you can see it takes around 500 ms, and it seems to happen randomly. Like it gets stuck in clearing the sequence memory. Why is this and why would it be kind of random? Thanks in advance, Best Bruno -- Sent from: http://micro-manager.3463995.n2.nabble.com/ |

Dear friends, After running this mailing list for almost 15 years, it is time to move on and join the Image.sc forum (running on the Discourse platform). Image.sc has developed into a lively platform around imaging software, and I am very proud that Micro-Manager now joins this community. If you have not done so already, please go to https://forum.image.sc and sign up for an account. Use the tag "micro-manager" for everything micro-manager related, so that we all can find each other on the forum (there are ways to get notified whenever the tag is used, though I have not yet figure out how to do so). I'll keep this mailing list open for another week or two (and start requesting to move to image.sc with every post), and then make this mailing list read only. Lastly, thank you for participating in this mailing list. This has been a great way to stay in touch with all of you! Best, Nico |

Hi Nico, thanks a lot for zour reply. The only reason why I need the MT20 is that I change the filter cube position through it. In the MT20 adapter that comes with the latest version of Micromanager I there is no FilterTurret control to be added. I believe our adapter was written for us before my times in the lab, and compiled with that interface version. If I try to add the Filter Cube adapter that is under the Olympus folder, I get the error: Error in device "Filter Cube": Invalid state (position) requested (12). This is because the FilterTurret connector goes through the MT20. Is there a way to connect the Turret of Olympus IX81 microscopes directly, without this routing via the MT20? This is a standard microscope body so I guess there should be a solution. Thanks a lot, Bruno. -- Sent from: http://micro-manager.3463995.n2.nabble.com/ |
