I upgraded to version 1.4 this afternoon and I've observed the same behaviour when translating in XY as well. The calibration procedure worked as well. I encountered only one strange behaviour with the stage: When using the keyboard to move the stage, say to the left or right, the stage seems to quickly jump about 20 pixels up and then back down before making the horizontal movement I push with the keyboard. If that description is not clear, I can capture a movie of this and send it to you. > > John > > > On 2011-05-03, at 11:25 AM, Nico Stuurman wrote: > >> Hi John, >> >>> Our facility just received an ASI MS2000 XYZ stage and with it came the new rack mount controller, the RM-2000: >>> >>> http://www.asiimaging.com/downloads/datasheets/RM-2000%20Controller.pdf >>> >>> I believe this is a newer incarnation of the older controller for this stage and the z-piezo control is now internal to this device whereas previously it was done with a Mad City Labs product I think. In our case, it contained a stage controller and a filter wheel controller both in the same enclosure. They stage and filter wheel controller had each their own RS232 connectors, so Micro-Manager did not see the difference with the older configuration where the two controllers are in separate enclosures. >> >>> I'm still using version 1.3 and as I recall there was some recent talk on the forums about the need for a firmware update with version 1.4. >> >> The firmware update is needed only for much older stage controllers and is needed for both 1.3 and 1.4.
