where did you get this swingx from? it works with 1:0.9.3-1 which exists in
the debian repository.

I foresee a quick hack:
mkdir /usr/lib/micro-manager

but this should be handled by the makefile. sending a patch to nico
separately.

ACE is a pain in the ass. the sooner micromanager drops this dependency, the
better. I would as far as possible try to use the packages (use synaptic).
libace & libace-dev will do
