Hmmm. Interesting idea. I'm going to see how easy it would be to add. If it's very easy, I'm going to try an experiment, and add the ability to use any of the supported hash algorithms in place of Tiger in this tree. (Once the tree code is in, it's just a matter of what function is called.) It would definitely make a lot of sense to have this in mhash. It would be good to actually have some way of describing these sorts of encapsulations generically, so anything similar can be added easily. Would encapsulation be called as a hash function, should the hash function API be modified to support the passsing of an encapsulation function, or should there be a totally distinct API for handling these cases?
