I'm using 3.7.1.5 without issue, and then out of the blue I started to get the following error as MC is loading, right at the Loading Movie Database stage:
Path is a zero-length string or contains only white space.
I've tried removing all the .XML files from the Settings and letting it go back to default.
MC starts up fine.
I added back my TV Folders and that all went fine.
As soon as I add a Movies folder URL, the error starts.
When the error is thrown, it just keeps throwing it and I have to using Task Manager to kill MC.
A standard TV Folder URL (one show per folder) on my system is \antmicroserver\Videos\TV Shows\What We Do in the Shadows
The standard Movies URL (root) is \antmicroserver\Videos\Movies
I've attached my original working fine until now config.xml.
I'm really out of ideas on why/how this has started so definitely open to any suggestions!
Whats the location of your Media Companion folder?
D:\Applications\Media Companion
Found the issue causing this error, has to do with the dateadded code I put in place, looking at an empty string.
Will release a fix for this by the weekend.
Apologies.
Thanks Rob!

#374I just ran into this error too, based on this thread I was able to work around it by pasting in the dateadded tag right after the createdate tag in the NFO. If you change the movie, or recreate the NFO you have to manually add it again. For example, I added this:
Fix in place, new release out now.
