[Matplotlib-users] python crash

matplotlib:
__version__  = '0.60.2'
__revision__ = '$Revision: 1.64 $'

Any attempt to save ps:
savefig('fig.ps')

gives this:

Fatal Python error: PyEval_RestoreThread: NULL tstate

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual  
way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information.

The postscript file *is* actually written.

What more info do you need to track this?
