[Matplotlib-users] Forking basemap & contributing...

Dear all,

I've successfully forked matplotlib.basemap to ThomasLecocq.basemap and cloned ThomasLecocq.basemap to my machine. Now, how can I have this clone be THE mpl_toolkits.basemap package, so I can make edits in the __init__.py (that contains the Basemap class) and preview them "live" on this machine. Once they are nice and OK, I can commit/push it to my master on github and probably create a pull request to the matplotlib.basemap git ?
