[Matplotlib-users] Problem plotting dashed lines

I am trying to put two regression lines on one scatter plot, but the dashes on the lines are inconsistent. I get different length dashes in different spots, and this won't be acceptable for publication I imagine. Do you have nay idea of what could be causing this? I've thought it could be related to the backend but all of them seem to produce the same result. Thanks.
