I am just installing Windows 7 Pro and I am running into a problem with matplotlib. When running e.g. barchart_demo.py I get an error that it can not find msvcp71.dll (the dll is in C:\Python25) and I see the following exception. Traceback (most recent call last): File "barchart_demo.py", line 3, in <module> import matplotlib.pyplot as plt File "C:\Python25\Lib\site-packages\matplotlib\pyplot.py", line 6, in <module> from matplotlib.figure import Figure, figaspect File "C:\Python25\Lib\site-packages\matplotlib\figure.py", line 16, in <module> import artist File "C:\Python25\Lib\site-packages\matplotlib\artist.py", line 5, in <module> from transforms import Bbox, IdentityTransform, TransformedBbox, TransformedPath File "C:\Python25\Lib\site-packages\matplotlib\transforms.py", line 34, in <module> from matplotlib._path import affine_transform ImportError: DLL load failed: Le module spcifi est introuvable. Anyone seen this problem before on Win7? BTW, I can run e.g. Boa (a wxPython based IDE). I have no problem running my application which is wxPython based as long as I don't call anything which uses mpl.
