[Matplotlib-users] matplotlib *EGG* installation works on Fedora but not Debian Etch..

Yes we all know the normal install of Matplotlib is rock solid and reliable. I'm having trouble doing an "egg" (setuptools) install of matplotlib. (I'm hoping eggs will be a nice way to have uniform install instructions across all OSes.)
