Hello John,

I had also to remove the quotationmarks from the png/dvi Filename
         command = 'dvipng -bg Transparent -D %s -T tight -o %s %s'%\
                   (dpi, pngfile, dvifile)

Now it works fine! Thanks for the quick reply.
