We need to either include the font information in the md5 ().hexdigest, or we need to add font directories under tex.cache to keep things separate. I dont know what is the right way to do it, now that there is low-level font command support in mpl (I'm not familiar with that part of the code and unfortunately dont have time to familiarize myself with it this week).
