I'd suggest add to the docs the fact that a locator shouldn't be reused, because it's not obvious, since a valid semantics is: majorLocator = LinearLocator(numticks=3) ... anAxis.set_major_locator(majorLocator) which I understood as: "anAxis's locator should be linear, with 3 ticks" > You should try and create a standalone script that exposes your > bug.
