Hey, I am developing using AppleScript and noticed that one of my most favorite study-programs, MacSword is not scriptable. Are there any plans in a coming version for AppleScript? Best regards from Finland, Erik Smit |

Hi. I've added a scope bar for search options. They are supposed to change according to the chosen search type (reference, index). Currently only some available module display options can be set (Strong's, Morphs, ...). Also the bible references in the indexed search result are links now. Later it should be possible to click open them in a new pane. Vince, by default Strong's are not shown anymore but can be switched on. For anyone interested in testing and giving feedback: http://www.starbase22.net/MacSword-1.8.4.app.zip I found that the update checker doesn't work correctly. For any old version it tells me that it is the current version which is not right actually. Can anyone confirm this? Regards, Manfred |

Hi Vince. Do you know what your workflow was when this crash (changing the module) happened, or can you reproduce this? Which module caused the index search crash? Vince. I've updated with another build of 1.8.3: http://www.starbase22.net/MacSword-1.8.3.app.zip Anything else goes into 1.8.4 then. It fixes the right sidebar which didn't show up immidiately for genbooks and dictionaries. Also the bible view shows any commentary modules when added to it. There might be a performance issue when pulling out a whole (or more) bible book that additionally is tagged with Strong's. So for KJV for example if you pull out the whole book Genesis it might take ten seconds, indeed. The advice would be to only display chapters not complete books. I've planed to add an options pane right below the toolbar where things like Strong's, Verses-on-one-line, Cross-Refs, Footnotes and such can be enabled or disabled. Then you can disable showing Strong's in KJV. I think I can do this until the end of the week or on the next weekend.
